Established in 1969, we are a small and personal pre-school. Greenways Pre-School aims to support each child through their own development. Each child is assigned a key person to ensure their progress is tracked and recorded. We use Tapestry which is an on-line system where parents/carers can access their child's progress and can interact with staff to let them know of milestones reached at home too.
We provide opportunities for children to learn through play, to move around freely and safely, to be creative and let their individuality shine.
Greenways has a large selection of books in our library - children are encouraged to look at books during the session, sometimes will have quiet time listening to a favourite story in a small group, and may also borrow books to take home.
Greenways Bear loves children to take him on holidays, overnight stays or to special events and parties - just ask if he's free and bring in some photos!
Outdoor play: we are able to access the hard courts and the play park at Hale Green, and often take short walks into Farnham Park. Children are always appropriately supervised at all times.
In wet weather, the children are able to play on the porch of the Scout Hut or inside we clear space and play active indoor games to ensure all children receive exercise.
We have a wide selection of percussion instruments and we have music as a structured activity. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have a musically-talented parent who will come in for a morning to make music with the children!
We would love to hear from parents or carers who can speak another language and would be willing to come and talk or read to the children, or other skills they would like to share. We aim to have dual-language books in the languages of the children attending which can be borrowed for reading at home.
